About signals.casa
signals.casa is a research notebook from Pennview Labs. It tracks a small set of macro signals (credit, rates, energy, cyber risk) and a few dated watches (the Iran war and oil, jobs and robots, data-center pauses), measured from public data and refreshed each morning.
What it is, and what it is not
- Educational research notes, not investment advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and nothing here is tailored to anyone's situation.
- Every figure carries its date and source. PRIMARY means the publisher of the data; SECONDARY means press or an aggregator. Stale or missing readings say so rather than showing an old number as current.
- Thresholds are proposals being calibrated, not forecasts. "Context" signals have no threshold on purpose.
- Some values are withheld. Where a data owner does not permit reproduction (for example ICE Data Indices for the corporate-bond spreads), the page shows the computed status but not the value.
How it is built
A daily job reads public sources (FRED, the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the SEC, CISA and others listed beside each figure), checks every reading for age and completeness, and publishes a static page. The build refuses to publish if a check fails, so the site stays on its last good version rather than showing a broken one. There are no ads, and no tracking beyond Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page loads without cookies (see Privacy).
For software agents
Machine-readable versions are published alongside the pages: llms.txt, a Markdown copy of each page, and the public readings as JSON at /data/gauges.json and /data/facts.json. Search, AI input and AI training are permitted; see the terms and robots.txt.
